Care

All ARC products are handmade. We only use natural materials. Both wood and silver can change in appearance over time. Therefore, we suggest that you take extra special care of your jewellery to ensure that it always remains beautiful.

Wood:
Most of the pieces in our collections are made of wood. These pieces are finished with beeswax or mineral oils. Some pieces that look brighter have been lacquered with shellac. Shellac is a varnish of natural origin. None of this treatment is harmful to your skin or your health.

Some useful tips:

Avoid contact with sea or pool water.

Avoid contact with chemical agents such as soap, cleaning products, makeup, creams or perfumes
Store separately. Avoid storing your jewellery together with pieces as they may scratch or rub over time.

If the wood loses its original luster, just rub and polish the piece with a woolen cloth or a soft, clean brush made with natural hair fibres. A drop of mineral oil helps to brighten the surface and nourish the wood.

Silver:Some elements of our jewelry are made with 950 silver.
Silver, when left in contact with air, over time undergoes an oxidation process.
During the oxidation process silver can appear to darken on the surface.
However, there are some precautions you can take to delay this natural change.

Store separately.

Avoid storing your jewellery together with other pieces as they may scratch or rub over time.

Store in a dry environment, especially if you live somewhere with high humidity. Protect your jewellery wrapped in tissue paper or cloth.

Avoid contact with creams and perfumes.

Clean the piece by rubbing it with a dry silver flannel. In the case of matte silver an abrasive sponge (dish type) may be used, making sure to rub in one direction only."
